General Terms and Conditions for Collection of Personal Information


Personal information is collected by Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame (CSHoF) through this Indigenous Sport Heroes Educational Experience only in the event it is willingly provided. If provided, the personal information that is retained will only be used internally and will not be shared with any third parties, affiliates or other organizations for material or marketing purposes and will remain in the possession of CSHoF. The web server of CSHoF automatically records the IP addresses of all visitors to www.indigenousheroes.ca. This does not provide CSHoF with any information that would personally identify a user and is meant for analytical purposes only. The information recorded by CSHoF allows CSHoF to aggregate data to better view how visitors are using the Indigenous Sport Heroes Educational Experience in regard to database maintenance, network operations and content management. CSHoF will only track further information (e.g. email address) should a visitor choose to email CSHoF directly.


Trademarks


There are a number trademarks and logos on www.indigenousheroes.ca, including, but not limited to, the trademark of Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame. The trademarks of other affiliate institutions may also be featured on the website. The trademark of CSHoF and any other organization found on the site belongs to the respective organization and may not be used without prior written consent, which may or may not be granted at the sole discretion of the organization. Any use of CSHoF or any third party trademarks without consent is expressly prohibited.

A cookie is a piece of data technology that is stored in a computer’s hard drive. A cookie will store information about user browsing practices and it will provide CSHoF with information as to how users interact with the Indigenous Sport Heroes Education Experience website. Some of the exhibit pages may use cookies; however the use of cookies is not mandatory to utilize the online exhibit. Information collected via cookies will not be disclosed; there is no information in a cookie that could identify a user personally.

Changes in CSHoF’s Privacy Policy


Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame reserves the right to alter or modify this policy at any time without notification. It is also CSHoF’s right to disclose any personal information if at any time there should be an infringement of rights toward the CSHoF property or to its users, sponsors or commercial partners. CSHoF will also provide information to the authorities should there be any unlawful misuse of the Indigenous Sport Heroes Education Experience. The Indigenous Sport Heroes Education Experience is linked to a number of different sites on the World Wide Web. CSHoF is not responsible for the information, privacy policies or content displayed within those sites.
